When to travel to Cancún

Cancún can be visited all year, but the trip changes a great deal depending on the month. The busiest season runs from December to April: the weather is warm and dry and accommodation and flight prices are at their highest. From June to November rain is frequent and tropical cyclone monitoring is constant, particularly between August and October; in exchange, prices drop noticeably. The official Atlantic hurricane season runs from 1 June to 30 November, so if the trip falls in those months, book accommodation with flexible cancellation and check the forecast before reserving sea activities.
