Content

Mexican citizens may enter Japan without a visa for short stays under the visa exemption regime by nationality. The exemption covers tourism and short visits and is subject to the conditions of the regime in force: a passport valid for the duration of the stay and a maximum authorised period of stay. Before booking the flight, confirm in the official source that the exemption still applies to Mexico, because the conditions may change without notice. On arrival, fingerprints and a photograph are taken and travellers may be asked to show their itinerary and accommodation.
